“Clutter is not just physical. It’s old ideas, toxic relationships, and bad habits. Clutter is anything that does not support our better self “-Eleanor Brown
The human body is so amazing, and as a machine it requires regular maintenance to run efficiently.
There are a number of reasons our bodies break down, including diet, environment, etc. Negative thoughts are a large reason as well, but many of us don’t ever think of this as a reason.
Negative thought patterns often release chemicals including adrenaline, norepinephrine, and cortisol. When these chemicals are released in our bodies, illness is created.
One of the best things we can do for our health is practice positive self talk through affirmations. When we say out loud what we want for ourselves and envision it, we start to create our own reality.
Yes, of course we will have bumps in the road, as everyone does. How we come out of those bumps makes all the difference.
Be nice to yourself!
Our minds become so cluttered with caring about what others think, about how we look, etc. When this happens, we bog ourselves down with so much negativity that we can’t see through our own mess.
We need to clear this clutter on a regular basis.
Affirmations for Better Self Talk
Here are some affirmations you can repeat to yourself on a daily basis. You can also come up with your own affirmation that speaks to you.
- I love myself, respect myself and accept myself as I am.
- I am doing my best and it is enough.
- I deserve to be happy and loved.
- Every breath I inhale calms me and every breath I exhale releases tension.
- I love myself unconditionally.
- My challenges bring me better opportunities.
Your affirmations may change depending on how you are at a given moment. However, to see a true change, stick with an affirmation that is in alignment with your daily struggles.
