January is here! For most us, New Year isn’t complete without making resolutions. We hope you strive for a realistic goals for your health, starting with these simple lifestyle changes:
Improve your health. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, jog in the morning or do yoga. Cut back on your fast food orders, learn new recipes to cook, and start with an alkaline diet. Schedule your annual physical examination, mammogram appointment, and other health screenings for women. Doing so will make wonderful lifestyle changes.
Take a time out from technology. We live in a tech world but make sure to unplug and find space. You’ll definitely love the extra quality time you have with your loved ones.
Volunteer. Make a difference in the lives of those in needs. There are a lot of ways you can contribute to the community. Donate in homeless shelter, read books to the blind, volunteer at church, or foster a pet, just to name a few.
Strive for work-life balance. Stop being a workaholic and strive for better time management. Delegate tasks effectively so you can finish work in your office and not bring home any of it. Do these things and you will have more time to spend with your family, play with your kids, and do the things you love.
Learn to say no. Even a superwoman needs a break. Try to reduce your stress by learning to prioritize. Spend time doing things that matters to you and learn to say no to events that you care less about. Set aside some self time every day – meditate in the morning, do yoga, read the newspaper, or take a walk.
Make your life more exciting. Hang out with your friends or take your kids out every weekend. Explore your city and go to a new park or hiking trail. Or you can spend a date night with your spouse and make your marriage stronger than ever.
